May Wrap Up

Hello there! I know I do May wrap up quite last, but I'm here now. So let's see what I read in May. I read two books last month. I was busy and lazy though 😂😂 So there were only two books, no judgment. There are Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend, and The Princess in Black by Shannon Hale.

I barely read anything in May because I felt lazy every time I try to pick some books to read. I really hate myself when I had a reading slump. I was trying so hard to find any children's book to read and then I spotted a book from Shannon Hale (I love her books ❤️📚). I can't remember where I found this

book maybe on Amazon Kindle Store on my phone, I think. I only remember that I purchased on Kindle. Yes, I got an e-book. It is easier to get new books when I am not able to go anywhere at that time, and it's quite fast just one click then you have them on your Kindle. This book saved my life! I finally got out of a reading slump.

This book is about a young princess named Princess Magnolia that having a secret no one can find out that she is the Princess in Black, a young hero who save the town. In this story, princesses shouldn't wear any black clothes, but Princess Magnolia love wearing them and also like adventure. Even though both Princess Magnolia and the Princess in Black have the same tiara, none of her people knows about that except a sheep boy who recognises that. I thought he will know for sure that the Princess in Black is Princess Magnolia. He also mentions the hight of these princesses and his and got everything to prove that these princesses are the same person. But he thought again... That Princess Magnolia can't be the Princess in Black, she isn't wearing black clothes and fighting and kicking monsters back to the holds. I was shocked a bit, kind of surprise that the boy changed his mind about the Princess in Black identity.

The next book is Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend. This book is so good! You will love Nevermoor. I saw this booking about three months ago since I was still living in Bangkok. It was calling to me like 'get me home with you' or something ;) But I never get that copy until last month while I was browsing new books

to read then, I saw Nevermoor again. This time I bought it. I have been heard a lot of great things about this book for some time. Just after chapter 4 or 5, I can't stop reading Nervermoore. I didn't care if I skip lunch or dinner only to kept reading. Days and nights, I always have this book with me.

The girl named Morrigan Crow is going to die on Eventide. She is a cured child! Every cured child die on Eventide, it's essential here. One day she went to a Bit Day with her father and got 4 bits that day but turned out only 2 bits were real not jokes. On Eventide night, Jupiter showed up in the Crow mansion to safe Morrigan from Eventide. And of course, she survives Eventide thanks to Jupiter North that took her to another whole new place that seems no one knows about. Well, at least Morrigan never heard of it at all. To be able to stay there, she has to join Wundrous Society as Jupiter's candidate.

อันที่จริงเราแถบไม่ได้อ่านหนังสือเลยเมื่อเดือนพฤษภาคมเพราะรู้สึกขี้เกียจมากทุกครั้งที่หยิบหนังสือขึ้นมาอ่าน เรารู้สึกเกียจตัวเองมากเลยเวลาเป็น reading slump มันเป็นอาการที่ใช้เรียกเวลาที่เราพยายามอ่านหนังสือแต่ก็ไม่สามารถอ่านได้หรืออ่านยังไงก็ไม่เข้าหัว เราพยายามสุดๆ เพื่อหาหนังสือเด็กอ่านเนี่ยแหละ แล้วก็ไปเจอหนังสือที่ Shannon Hale เขียน (เราชอบหนังสือที่เธอเขียนมากๆ ❤️📚) แต่เราก็จำไม่ได้แล้วว่าไปเจอเล่มนี้ที่ไหน รู้สึกว่าจะเจอ

ใน Amazon Kindle ในโทรศัพท์นะถ้าจำไม่ผิด เราจำได้แค่ว่าเราซื้อบน Kindle ใช่แล้วล่ะเราซื้อ e-book มาอ่าน ก็มันง่ายดีนี่น่าเวลาเราไปร้านหนังสือไม่ได้ก็แค่คลิกซื้อบน Kindle ก็เสร็จแล้ว โหลดหนังสือเสร็จประมาณหนึ่งนาทีได้อ่านล่ะ รวดเร็วดีฉบับคนขี้เกียจออกนอกบ้าน ที่จริงต้องขอบคุณหนังสือเล่มนี้เลยละนะเพราะเรากลับมาอ่านได้อีกรอบเพราะอ่านเล่มนี้แท้ๆ

หนังสือเล่มนี้เกี่ยวกับเจ้าหญิงที่มีชื่อว่าเจ้าหญิงแม็คโนเลีย เธอเองก็มีความลับที่ใครก็รู้ไม่ได้เด็ดคาดเรื่องที่เธอคือเจ้าหญิงในชุดดำ เจ้าหญิงในชุดดำรู้จักกันในนามฮีโรของชาวเมืองเลยล่ะ ในเนื้อเรื่องเจ้าหญิงห้ามใส่ชุดดำหรือเสื้อผ้าสีดำต่างๆ แต่เจ้าหญิงแม็คโนเลียนั้นชอบใส่เสื้อผ้าสีดำและยังรักการผจญภัยอีกตั้งหาก ถึงจะดูไม่ค่อยเป็นเจ้าหญิงที่สง่าเท่าไหร่แต่นั้นก็คือตัวตนของเจ้าหญิงแม็คโนเลีย ถึงเจ้าหญิงแม็คโนเลียและเจ้าหญิงในชุดดำจะมีมงกุฎเหมือนกันก็ตาม แต่ก็ไม่มีใครสังเกตุเห็นยกเว้นเสียแต่เด็กชายเลี้ยงแกะ เขายังสังเกตุเรื่องความสูงของเจ้าหญิงทั้งสองอีกด้วย ทั้งๆ ที่เขามีข้อสังเกตุมากพอที่จะรู้ได้ว่าเจ้าหญิงในชุดดำคือใครแล้วแท้ๆ เชียว แต่เขาก็คิดซ้ำอีกครั้ง และสรุปว่าเจ้าหญิงทั้งสองคนนั้นเป็นคนละคนกัน เจ้าหญิงแม็คโนเลียไม่ใส่ชุดสีดำและต่อสู้แตะต่อยกับสัตว์ประหลาดให้ลงหลุมแน่ เราแอบตกใจเล็กน้อยพอรู้ว่าเขาน่าจะเดาถูกว่าตัวจริงคืดใครแล้วเชียวน่ะ เสียดายๆ

เล่มต่อไปคือ Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow โดย Jessica Townsend เล่มนี้ดีมากขอ บอก ถ้าได้อ่านแล้วจะหลงรัก Nevermoor เราเห็นเล่มนี้หลายครั้งแล้วตั้งแต่ตอนที่ยังอยู่กรุงเทพ ความรู้สึกเหมือนมันร้องเรียกให้ซื้อกลับบ้านยังไงยังงั้น แต่ก็ไม่คอยได้ซื้อกลับมาสักทีจนกระทั้งเมื่อเดือนที่แล้ว

ตอนที่เราเดินเล่มอยู่ในร้านหนังสือก็ไปเจอหนังสือ Nevermoor อีก ครั้งนี้ซื้อเลยไม่ต้องคิดอะไรให้มันวุ่นวาย ส่วนตัวเราเองก็ได้ยินเรื่องราวดีๆ จากคนที่เคยอ่านมาแล้ว เห็นว่าดีมากเลยและมันก็ดีมากจริงๆ อ่านไปสัก 4 - 5 บท ก็จะเริ่มวางหนังสือไม่ล่ะ มันหยุดอ่านไม่ได้จริงๆ นะ อ่านจนลืมกินข้าวกันไปเลยที่เดียว คือมันสนุกมากวางไม่ลงจริงๆ เป็นมาแล้ว ไปไหนมาไหนต้องพกไปด้วยเผื่อได้อ่าน

เด็กผู้หญิงนามว่ามอร์ริแกน คราว กำลังจะตายในคืน Eventide เธอคือเด็กต้องสาป เด็กต้องสาปทุกคนตายในคืนวัน Eventide เสมอ มีอยู่วันนึงมอร์ริแกนไปงาน Bit Day กับพ่อของเธอและในวันนี้นเองที่มีคนเลือกเธอถึง 4 ครั้ง มีแค่ 2 ครั้งเท่านั้นที่เลือกเธอจริงๆ อีก 2 แค่เป็นการลอกเธอเท่านั้น ในคืนวัน Eventide อยู่ๆ จูปิเตอร์ก็ปรากฏตัวขึ้นที่บ้านของเธอ แน่นนอนว่าหลังจากคืนนั้นเธอยังมีชีวิตรอดอยู่ ต้องขอบคุณจูปิเตอร์ที่ช่วยเธอเอาไว้ แต่มีข้อแลกเปลี่ยนที่ทำให้เด็กสาวมอร์ริแกนกลายเป็นผู้เข้าร่วมงานการแข่งขัน Wundrous Society ในฐานะเด็กที่ถูกเลือกโดย จูปิเตอร์ ผู้โด่งดัง
